Christmas cookie mani swap! – Cookie recipes+Nail art! <3

I have been so excited about todays post, and I’m so happy that I can finally share this!
A while ago Sarah, 25sweetpeas asked if I wanted to join in on a fun christmas cookie mani swap. Basically you would have to make some cookies and a recipe and make a mani inspired by the cookies, and all of the recipes an manis would be put together as a downloadable file.
Obviously I said yes! It’s cookies and manis… and christmas! Doesn’t get much better than that!

I instantly knew that I wanted to make Klejner, because it is something me and my dad make every year, and I thought it might be a little bit different. My accompanying mani is inspired by a little figurine we have with a little elf holding a klejne. On my other nails I painted some klejner and some spruce and the white is supposed to look like powdered sugar.

Not super happy with the mani, but I do like how the painting of the klejner turned out!

Oh, and by the way, we are posting this today because it is NATIONAL COOKIE DAY. How perfect is that!?

This has been such a fun thing to be a part of, and Sarah made this magazine look amazing. It totally looks like a real magazine! I have already printed it out so I can have it as a little holiday recipe book 🙂

I’m definitely going to have to consider roping my mom into trying to make Klejner with me at some point. I was looking into traditional Lithuanian baked goods to try for Christmas this year (my dad’s side of the family is from Lithuania), and apparently we have cookies called Aušukai that look really similar to Klejner!
Also the elf on your middle nail is so impressive; I have no idea how you manage to fit so much detail into such a tiny space!
